Dr. Squires lives in Boise with his three children Jonah, Camden, and Mackenzie. Their household includes two dogs; a golden retriever named Cecilia and a terrier mix named Alice. In addition, they care for a leopard gecko (Rosebuddy), two corn snakes (Zeus and Bailey, and two goldfish (Rosenkrantz and Ruby).
Dr. Squires graduated from Iowa State University in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Entomology, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. He completed an internship in medicine and surgery at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in 2000. Following his internship, Dr. Squires served in general practice in Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA before moving to Boise in 2010.
In 2013, Dr. Squires was excited to join Hendricks Veterinary Hospital. He enjoys seeing puppies and kittens grow and mature, and provide care for them throughout their lives. His special interests include wellness care, preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry and oral surgery. In addition, Dr. Squires is happy to see rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and even the occasional reptiles.
Outside of work, Dr. Squires enjoys running and hiking the foothills, skiing, mountain biking, and fly fishing.
