Dr. Patterson grew up with all sorts of animals such as hedgehogs, ducks, goats, horses, etc. She grew her passion for all kinds of animals, which lead her to become a veterinarian. She was born in Atlanta, GA, and, raised on both sides of the coasts, she started in Annapolis, Maryland, and moved to Encinitas, California. Dr. Patterson graduated from Washington State University of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 after earning her degree in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University. While attending college at Cal Poly, she worked as a veterinary technician. After graduating, it further confirmed her passion for veterinary medicine. Dr. Patterson loves every part of her job as a veterinarian. She loves seeing the bonds form in a family with a new puppy or kitten. Dr. Patterson also loves to see how strong the bonds grow with her senior patients and clients. Dr. Patterson states that every day is unique, and she finds it thrilling as it keeps her on her toes from medicine cases to surgery and emergency cases and routine care.  

Outside of her work as a veterinarian, she enjoys trail running, skiing, horseback riding, hiking, and camping. Dr. Patterson moved to Boise, ID, in 2017 and, she loves the outdoor opportunities Idaho has to give with her heeler mix Benjamin Badger. She also has a domestic shorthair cat Bobbi and her horse Bubba.
