Dr. Abbey Burgess has been a part of the Hendricks Veterinary Family since 2018. Dr. Burgess grew up in the Twin Falls area. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a very young age and pursued that passion from her first career day in elementary school. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Idaho. She graduated Cum Laude from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Upon finishing her internship she practiced emergency medicine for seven years. Dr. Burgess is passionate about patient care. She strives to partner with pet parents to ensure every animal in her care receives individualized attention. Dr. Burgess holds a particular interest in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and she loves working with geriatric patients to prolong and improve their quality of life. When Dr. Burgess is not working she enjoys paddle boarding, camping, and spending time with her husband. Together they have a Corgi Mix named Bear, a Boston Terrier Mix named Roo, and an Orange Tabby named O’Meowy.
