“Take it one day at a time, never look beyond the present moment that is presented to you.”
Andrew has always had a desire to work with animals and had intended on becoming a veterinarian. He started working in a small clinic in the summer of 1998 until the spring of 2004. 9/11 happened during Andrew’s time working at the clinic and that changed the trajectory of his career. Andrew served six years in active duty as an airborne infantryman and was discharged in 2010. He was deployed to Iraq twice and once stateside to aid in the efforts after Hurricane Katrina.
Andrew is currently pursuing his master's in social work, where he plans on working within the community derived around veterinary medicine. Milly is Andrew’s Labrador and German Shorthair mix. She is his retired service dog and means the world to him. They enjoy their time together, as Milly’s favorite thing to do is chase a ball.
*We would all like to thank Andrew for his service.
